Spring is on its way!

Spring is on its way!  The Rockies are still snow capped but the snow is melting and filling the Fall River.  It gets a bit higher every day.  You don’t have to look at it to know that it is rising—you can hear it.  It is just so soothing and relaxing.  I find myself not focusing on the tasks that I have to complete.  We are busy finishing our winter projects—making the Inn on Fall River more inviting to you our guests.  We are just about ready to begin our spring projects and hopefully take a few hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park, too!  We went on a hike the other day and I was amazed that there was still so much snow on the trails.  We hiked up to Dream Lake and had a picnic lunch.  Don’t forget to pack your picnic basket when you plan your trip to Estes Park and we would love for you to stay at the Inn on Fall River.  We invite you to come and relax by the river, take a hike in RMNP and enjoy downtown Estes Park.  Make your reservations now!  See you soon!

For heaven's sake, nbdooy is talking about swimming in the Arkansas River it's about PADDLING ON the river. Regarding kids and the whitewater park, I'm speaking from my own personal experience of having three 8-year old boys. My boys have been in rafts, kayaks and canoes since they were 3, and they LOVE being on the water just like every other kid I know. Put a kid in a boat with a paddle and see what happens. If you don't want your kids paddling, fine. Find another activity heck, nbdooy is trying to talk you into it.As for your numbers on the visitation, demographics and number of posters on this site, they are unsupported and plainly incorrect.Previously, I posted the visitation forecast published by a professional parks and recreation consulting firm with over 700 projects in 46 states under their belts.Your credentials are ?With all due respect, my intent is to keep the facts on this site separate from unsubstantiated negative opinions and hyperbole.
